Do you have and HDTV yet?
The answer seems to be, increasingly, YES.
Despite the high cost of HDTV sets (compared to analog) and limited HD programming, it seems American consumers are buying these new TVs like there is no tomorrow.
The Consumer Electronics Association recently announced that digital TV sales jumped more than 100 percent in the first quarter of this year and that more 35 million digital sets have been sold since their introduction.
That's not a huge number compared to the number of non-digital sets out there (All HDTVs are digital but not all digital sets are HD). But considering how expensive these things and the complexities surrounding their operation, I'm frankly surprised they have sold this many.
