Recently announced by Ricoh, the new Capilo R5 Digital Camera features a 7.1x optical wide zoom lens (28-200 mm in 35 mm camera format) which is the highest zoom in the compact class (among compact digital cameras of less than 150g as of 23 August 2006) 

Ricoh have announced the launch of the Caplio 500G Wide. This model has the same characteristic tough body of its predecessor, the Caplio 400G with superior water and dust resistance, a wide-angle optical 3x zoom (equivalent to 28-85mm for a 35mm camera), and support for linkage with Construction CALS and other business systems. It goes further, however, with new features, such as more rugged impact resistance, a flash range of 10m, and an antiblur function. It is designed specially for customers who will use it on construction sites, for insurance loss appraisal in disaster areas, in schools, and in other outdoor situations.

Ricoh have announced the release of the new Caplio RR660 - a sleek new entry-level digital camera that adds more exciting new user-friendly features to its extremely popular RR630 predecessor. The new 6.16-megapixel digital camera is even lighter and more compact than its predecessor, and yet is equipped with a crystal-clear 2.4" color TFT-LCD monitor for even easier viewing.
