Pentax have announced the new K10D Digital SLR Camera which boasts 10.2 megapixels together with Pentax developed Shake Reduction and a weather resistant body.
Weather resistance is achieved by the incorporation of some 72 special seals on the camera body including the shutter release button.
Designed to deliver high quality digital images and responsive operation for advanced photo enthusiasts, the Pentax K10D features an array of innovations in image capture and camera functionality.

Sony have announced two new additions to the Cyber-Shot Digital Camera family in the shape of the Cyber-Shot DSC-T50 and the Cyber-Shot DSC-N2.

Both new models feature a three inch Touch Screen Display and built in slide show facility. The extra large touch screen display features intuitive menu options. This allows for a reduction in the amount of physical buttons on the body of the camera which in turn allows for a sleeker design
Both models also incorporate Sony’s Clear Photo Plus LCD technology for higher resolution (230K), higher contrast and optimal viewing from various angles.
Recently announced by Ricoh, the new Capilo R5 Digital Camera features a 7.1x optical wide zoom lens (28-200 mm in 35 mm camera format) which is the highest zoom in the compact class (among compact digital cameras of less than 150g as of 23 August 2006)

Canon have announced thier next generation of D-SLR or Digital Single Lens Reflex camera in the form of the EOS 400D.
The Canon EOS 400D features a whole host of new developments over the best selling EOS 350D which is currently the fastest selling SLR camera of all time - Canon's EOS 300D, the world's first consumer D-SLR, kick started a digital revolution in 2003.
